Marrons Glaces by Corsiglia
Since 1896, the Andre Corsiglia family has been producing simply the best of the best marrons glaces.
With a delicate texture and subtle infusion of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans, they are sublime. Each marron is placed on a gold base card, then carefully wrapped with gold foil. Package of eight pieces, in a handsome wooden box.
Featured in the Wall Street Journal's Top 50 Global Gift Guide: "You may think receiving a package of nuts for Christmas would be a little underwhelming. That just means you've never Christmased in France, and therefore never sampled marrons glacés, the lip-smacking candied chestnuts that are a seasonal fixture there. Since 1896, the Corsiglia family of Provence has been perfecting its version of the traditional Yuletide treat, bathing only the finest chestnuts (A.O.P. protected, from Turin, Italy) in a Madagascar-bourbon-vanilla syrup to produce a glistening, sugary glaze. Only someone who's been very, very good deserves these."
