Fabes Asturianas D.O.P. by Tierrina Vaqueria
Taking a long time to grow and very labor intensive, these wonderful beans are the star ingredient of Fabada Asturiana. A staple of Asturian cuisine, and served throughout Spain, legend has it that this Spanish version of cassoulet cam about via travelers from France walking the Camino de Santiago. The beans are larger than haricots tarbais, and hold their shape extremely well.
